Inspired by the Sicilian prickly pears, this abstract and geometric painting is an homage to Sicily, an intense land where light embraces everything.
Blooming Opuntia was born from the vivid colors of prickly pears: the green of the blades, the orange and deep pink of the ripe fruit, the golden touch that recalls the southern sun.
As in all my paintings, the circles intersect with rigor and harmony: they are essential, universal forms that speak of bonds, balances, of what connects us deeply. Through this abstract composition, I bring an experience of nature into the painting - but I leave it open, free. In this way, everyone can recognize a memory in the welcoming environment, or be led beyond it to new inner landscapes.
