I started painting fairly recently. Until December 2020, I’d neither painted nor experimented with acrylics..
How did the desire to paint come about?
And how did the subject come about?
During my time as a graphic teacher and academic professor, I became fascinated by various subjects such as the optical perception of forms, the harmonious use of colour combinations, and the significance of colours. This fascination motivated me to explore further. The guidelines which I had applied to my work for years—albeit in a subliminal, rather than informed, way—then became the stepping stone for my work as an artist.
Each painting is always accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity, which includes a photograph, title, date and place of creation, technique, and certifies that it is an original and unique painting, painted by me.
