My signature stamp is the final touch to my works — a ‘smile’ formed by my initials, L and R, that winks at the viewer. It completes the entire process, from the initial idea to the translation of the concept through my geometric abstraction of circles, to painting on canvas.

In these difficult times, when wars and oppressions surround us, I feel the need to express my hope for greater joy, freedom and peace through colour.

‘Rainbow Believing’. Wonder in the Colours of Peace and Hope

I am currently working on a new painting called Rainbow Believing, part of my Circles of Joy series.
🌈 Inspired by the wonder and joy of seeing a rainbow in the sky after rain, its colours carry a message of peace, balance, and hope.
Rainbow Believing is a geometric abstract painting, built slowly, where colour becomes a space of balance and well-being.

🌈 Nasce pensando allo stupore e alla gioia che ci sorprende quando ci appare in cielo l’arcobaleno dopo la pioggia. I suoi colori diventano linguaggio di pace, equilibrio e speranza.

In un tempo sospeso, l’unica cosa che riesco a fare oggi è pensare a tutta la grazia, alla fragilità e alla delicatezza che ha portato Stella nella nostra vita.
E alla sorpresa di averci fatto capire che l’arte non appartiene solo all’essere umano. Le sue composizioni ci meravigliavano al risveglio, attenti a dove mettere i piedi per non rovinarle calpestandole. Composizioni cromatiche e geometriche, precisissime, che realizzava alle prime luci dell’alba portando e disponendo a terra, sulla geometria dei tappeti, le mollette che sceglieva dal cesto che le conteneva tutte, nei diversi colori. La sua sensibilità estetica e la sua scelta erano ben consapevoli. Mi spiace non averne fotografate di più!

Sono grata di avere condiviso più di 19 anni della mia vita con lei, così come prima con gli altri che l’hanno preceduta, Kirsch, Bianchino, Brancaleone, Principessa, Luna, Flounder, Belva/Perla, Kama, e con chi ci sta ancora vicino, Spacey, BasBas e Mirto.
Grazie a loro non c’è mai stato un solo giorno della mia vita senza un affetto così sincero, privo di filtri, come solo loro sanno trasmettere. Un privilegio grande!

Here, it becomes even more about ‘Colours of Joy’.
🌈 A natural phenomenon, the rainbow reveals light after the storm and is a metaphor for hope, possibility, and rebirth.
Over time, its colours have become a universal symbol of peace and respect for diversity.
🕊️With each brushstroke, I take a stand against war, oppression, and discrimination, feeling the need to bring colour back to the centre as a value: freedom of thought and expression, humanity, and peace.

L’arcobaleno è un fenomeno naturale che rivela la luce dopo la tempesta, metafora di speranza, di possibilità, di rinascita.
Nel tempo i suoi colori sono diventati emblema universale di pace e di rispetto delle diversità.

Pennellata dopo pennellata mi schiero contro guerre e soprusi, sento il bisogno di riportare i valori del colore al centro: libertà di pensiero, di espressione, di umanità, di pace.

The detail of this artwork?
It started as a print. It became a unique piece, one of a kind.

I was looking for a technique that would make my work more accessible by reducing time and costs without compromising on quality or artistic expression.
After consulting with my trusted print lab @tamburini_fineart, we unanimously agreed that Fine Art Giclée printing was the best option. Using professional inks on Hahnemühle cotton paper ensures that the prints will last over time, while also reproducing depth and colour fidelity.

However, each piece is unique.
I hand-paint the gold part one by one. This is what makes each print uniq

FROM EARTH TO PAINT
OCHRE is part of Circles of Joy and the second work of my Earth’s Hearth series.
It begins with a stone I selected on Elba Island, ground into powder to become pigment.

This ancient gesture — one of the earliest in human history — is reinterpreted through circles and contemporary geometry.
The result is not only a painting, but a quiet presence:
matter transformed into colour, memory, and emotional balance.

This is the kind of artwork created for those who feel that art should do more than decorate —
it should support the atmosphere of a space and the people who live in it.

OCHRE fa parte di ‘Circles of Joy’ ed è il secondo lavoro della serie’ Earth’s Hearth’.
Nasce da una pietra scelta all’Isola d’Elba, trasformata in polvere per diventare pigmento.

Un gesto antico, uno dei primi dell’umanità, reinterpretato oggi attraverso cerchi e geometrie contemporanee.
Non solo un quadro, ma una presenza silenziosa: materia che diventa colore, memoria ed equilibrio emotivo.

Un’opera pensata per chi sente che l’arte non dovrebbe solo arredare, ma influenzare profondamente l’atmosfera di uno spazio e il benessere di chi lo vive.

🇮🇹 L’errore più comune quando si sceglie un quadro.

Ti è mai capitato di scegliere un’opera chiedendoti solo “Starà bene qui?”

È una domanda comprensibile ma ingannevole.
Infatti spesso è anche il motivo per cui, dopo un po’, quell’opera smette di dirti qualcosa.

Un quadro non serve solo ad arredare un ambiente.
Deve essere in grado di rappresentare chi lo abita.

Today, on my birthday, I welcome 2026 with gratitude for all of you who follow my work. In this time that calls for attention and presence, I continue to believe in the value of daily joy and authentic connections — the very essence of my Circles of Joy, the project that guides my artistic journey.

This year also marks an important step: my new studio at viafarini.work in Milan. A space for exchange and creativity shared with other artists, where collaborations and projects take shape and enrich each journey.

Oggi, nel giorno del mio compleanno, apro il 2026 con gratitudine per tutti voi che mi seguite.
